BEN H. EASTERLING
Manager, Business Development, Southern Telecom

Ben Easterling joined Southern Company in 1984 as an industrial marketing engineer at Georgia Power. Prior to joining Southern Telecom in 1999, he held positions in customer service and power delivery.

In 1991, Easterling joined the newly-formed Southern Development & Investment Group with responsibilities for developing unregulated products and services in the area of two-way communications to the home, security, telecommunications and power quality. Other accomplishments include the late stage team participation in creating Southern Communications (800 MHz wireless), business launch of PowerCall Security and Premier Home, product launch of flywheel technology and most recently the launch of Southern Telecom.

Easterling earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at
Auburn University.



LEIF ERICSON
Manager, Business Development, Southern Telecom

Leif Ericson joined Southern Telecom in June 2001 with 15 years of telecommunications experience. Prior to joining Southern Telecom, Ericson was the director of business development for the broadband access division at Nortel Networks where he directed market development efforts with strategic partners and venture capital firms. Ericson has also held senior management positions in sales and marketing at Decision Systems House (division of Olivetti), Intermedia Communications (now MCI) and Sprint Communications. Ericson has served on the board of the Power Line Communication Association and is co-chairman & board member of the United Power Line Council.

Ericson earned his bachelor's degree in business from Auburn University.
