SouthernWaves is our wavelength service offering high-capacity transport across the SouthernWaves fiber network, ideal for carriers and enterprises needing dedicated bandwidth with low latency and high reliability. This service is the result of the Southern Telecom and Seimitsu alliance, combining Southern Telecom’s robust infrastructure with Seimitsu’s innovative expertise.
Through the SouthernWaves partnership, lit services are introduced with Seimitsu responsible for illuminating and managing bandwidth on Southern Telecom’s secure fiber routes—installed in highly secure conduits. With 24/7 network monitoring from a state-of-the-art Network Operations Center in Savannah, SouthernWaves is built to respond to virtually any threat.
This framework ensures superior security features and seamless, reliable connectivity across the Southeast fiber network, empowering customers to focus on core business operations without the complexities of network management. SouthernWaves also supports strategic initiatives like the South Downtown Atlanta fiber project, expanding access to high-performance connectivity in key urban areas.
South Downtown Atlanta Project
In fall 2025, SouthernWaves secured an agreement to serve the South Downtown Atlanta project, a transformative initiative aimed at revitalizing this historic neighborhood by converting 56 buildings, 10 continuous blocks and one million square feet into a second location of Atlanta Tech Village. By harnessing the power of fiber's faster, more reliable and durable capabilities, we are laying the foundation for a brighter future for our city.

Symmetrical Internet service packages range from 1 GB to 200 GB with a maximum of 400 GB throughput per channel.
